 Janeisha John: A Multifaceted Talent from the U.S. Virgin Islands

Early Life and Education

Born on December 3, 1988, in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Janeisha John was raised from six months old on the island. She grew up in a family of entrepreneurs; her parents, Liz Torres and Josephat John, owned a bakery and restaurant business, as well as various entertainment ventures, including a music studio and event production company. This environment fostered her early interest in the arts and business. Janeisha pursued higher education at the University of the Virgin Islands, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in May 2009. ​

Pageantry and Modeling Career

Janeisha's foray into pageantry began in her youth, participating in local competitions such as Ms. Virgin Islands Pride, Ms. St. Croix, and Ms. University of the Virgin Islands. Her most notable achievement came in 2010 when she was crowned Miss US Virgin Islands Universe, representing her territory at the Miss Universe pageant that year. She also competed in the Miss America pageant and appeared on the reality series "Miss America: Reality Check" on TLC. 

Transitioning into modeling, Janeisha has appeared in numerous music videos for artists such as Wale featuring Usher, Kid Ink featuring Fetty Wap, Daddy Yankee, 2 Chainz & Pharrell, Jessie J, and Nick Cannon. Her commercial work includes campaigns for brands like Malibu Red, Shoe Dazzle, Microsoft, Verizon, Toyota Corolla, Target, and Johnny Walker. She has also graced the covers of L’Officiel India, Playboy Denmark, and Ellements Magazine. ​

Television Hosting and Production

Janeisha's television career began with hosting roles for the Caribbean network TEMPO and local stations in the Virgin Islands, including CBS TV-2 and WTJX-Channel 12's "Rediscover St. Croix-US Virgin Islands." After moving to Los Angeles, she expanded her hosting repertoire, working with AfterBuzz TV and Black Hollywood Live. Currently, she serves as an Executive and TV Producer/Host at The Zeus Network, contributing to shows like "Joseline's Cabaret," "Tokyo Toni's Finding Love ASAP," and the "Baddies" franchise, where she is known for her poised and classy presence as the reunion host. ​

Cultural Advocacy and Personal Life

A proud ambassador for the U.S. Virgin Islands, Janeisha actively promotes her heritage through her work. She has been honored at events such as the Annual Crucian Lechon Festival and featured alongside her father in the VI Black Pages for her contributions to entertainment and representation of the Virgin Islands. Janeisha continues to reside in Los Angeles, where she furthers her career in television hosting, modeling, and acting.
